The Mug That Meant More Than It Should Have

I'm a final-year CSE student at PPG Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, and for months I'd been showing up to teach — Python one week, GenAI the next — at Kactii Academy. It started as just sharing what I knew, one session at a time. Somewhere along the way, "helping out" quietly turned into something I actually looked forward to every week. Then they handed me this: a limited-edition mug that reads "Atokenophobia — the fear of running out of tokens to vibecode." I laughed, because anyone who's watched a build stall mid-prompt knows that fear is painfully real. But holding it, I realized it wasn't really about the mug. It was proof that the hours I spent explaining, debugging, and encouraging juniors had been seen. Teaching had made me sharper than any course ever did — you don't truly know a concept until you've watched twenty confused faces until it clicks. Biggest lesson: the fastest way to grow is to give your knowledge away, and the recognition finds you on its own.
